England beat Mexico 3-2 at Estadio Azteca on Sunday as Jude Bellingham scored twice and 10-man England reached the World Cup quarter-finals.
Harry Kane also scored from the penalty spot after Jarell Quansah’s red card left England a man down in the second half.
England will face Norway in the quarter-finals after Erling Haaland’s side beat Brazil. The result sent England into a third straight World Cup quarter-final.
Bellingham scored twice in 98 seconds during the first half. Bukayo Saka crossed for the opener before Kane’s pass set up Bellingham’s second goal.
Mexico had not conceded in five World Cup matches before Bellingham’s first goal. The defeat was only their third in 90 matches at the Azteca.
Julian Quinones pulled one back before halftime after England failed to clear a free-kick. Raul Jimenez then converted a late penalty to set up a tense finish.
Quansah received a straight red card in the 54th minute after a VAR review for a mistimed challenge on Jesus Gallardo.

England restored their two-goal lead six minutes later when Mexico goalkeeper Raul Rangel fouled Anthony Gordon. Kane converted the penalty for his sixth goal of the tournament.
The match started an hour late after a thunderstorm and heavy rain hit Mexico City. More than 80,000 fans attended the last-16 tie at the high-altitude venue.
England manager Thomas Tuchel said his players “left everything out there” in what he called a “crazy game” at the Azteca.
