The United States Mint said Trump $1 coins entered circulation on September 2 and are now available for purchase through its official website.
The legal-tender coins feature the likeness of U.S. President Donald Trump. ABC News reported Wednesday that the Mint had formally announced their release and online availability.
CBS News said the Mint is selling rolls of 25 coins for $61 and bags of 100 coins for $154.50 as of September 2, 2026. That works out to about $2.44 per coin in a roll and $1.55 per coin in a 100-coin bag.
The supplied material says the Mint produced 250,000 coins. It also says demand caused heavy traffic on the official store, with some buyers experiencing wait times of more than an hour online.
