Elon Musk, the globally recognized entrepreneur behind Tesla and SpaceX, is known for his love of electronic music, which he enthusiastically exhibited at the Rüfüs Du Sol’s Sundream Baja music festival.
Elon Musk, dressed in his signature all-black outfit, embraced the festive atmosphere, engaging in dance with fellow festival-goers at the event held in Baja, California.
However, despite being the owner of the popular social media platform Twitter, Musk was not immune to the candid feedback of its users. As photos of him dancing at the festival began circulating on the platform, they quickly went viral, inciting a flurry of comments and reactions from netizens.
Many comments highlighted Musk’s dance moves, with one user jokingly suggesting that he was dancing as if he was in pain. Another observer called Musk’s moves “cringe-worthy,” while another expressed sympathy for the seemingly awkward performance, remarking, “Oh, that is pitiful!”
Adding to the playful commentary, another user humorously proposed that Musk wouldn’t be getting an invitation to the popular television dance competition “Dancing with the Stars” anytime soon. In contrast, another user predicted Musk’s unique dance style would become a trend for the summer, suggesting it embodied the carefree spirit of someone who is financially successful and unapologetically themselves.
However, not all comments were critical or joking. One user pointed out the human aspect behind Musk’s presence at the festival, asserting, “He is also a human and deserves fun.”
Interestingly, Elon Musk is more intertwined with the electronic music scene than just being a fan. In 2020, he released an electronic track titled “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe.” The track followed a rap song Musk recorded a year earlier, which paid tribute to Harambe, a gorilla from the Cincinnati Zoo. The animal had been fatally shot in an attempt to save a 3-year-old boy who had fallen into the gorilla’s enclosure.
