LAHORE: At least six people were killed, and 10 were injured when a three-storey residential building collapsed late Wednesday in Muhammad Din Colony near Harbanspura, Lahore.
Rescue officials recovered six bodies and pulled 10 injured people from the rubble. The survivors were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Around 40 rescuers and 10 emergency vehicles joined the operation. Teams continued removing debris as authorities feared that more residents remained trapped.

The structure reportedly collapsed after its roofs fell one after another. Authorities launched an investigation to determine the cause.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed grief over the deaths and directed officials to provide the injured with the best available treatment.
The death toll is seven. Official figures remained subject to revision as the search operation continued.
