LAHORE: In Lahore, another building collapsed, killing one child and injuring four others in Baghbanpura near Women College Road on Wednesday, Rescue 1122 said.
Rescue 1122 said the under-construction building’s roof, built with TR girders, suddenly gave way and trapped several people under the debris.
Rescue teams launched an emergency operation and pulled five injured people from the rubble. They shifted the victims to a nearby hospital, where one child died.
Emergency responders remained at the site after the initial rescue operation. Authorities said search work was continuing to confirm that no one else remained trapped under the collapsed structure.

Officials said the situation in the area had been brought under control. The incident occurred days after a deadly building collapse in Lahore’s Kahna area, where multiple people were killed and several others were injured.
