Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah paid a surprise visit to Mithrayo Water Canal in Naukot after taking notice of water theft and shortage of water for irrigation.
CM Sindh, in a press conference after the meeting, said that there is no shortage of water but the resource is being unequally distributed due to the negligence of the police and irrigation department.
He further said that the people do not trust police but the provincial government will ask the security force to perform their duties. He also said that Rangers has been performing their duties well in Hyderbabad and Karachi.
“We cannot order Rangers to monitor the water distribution”, Shah added.
