Leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) have refused to hold talks with the government unless Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns.
“Talks with government are out of question, negotiations will only be held now on the ground. We are not meeting any of the government’s negotiating committees till Prime Minister’s resignation,” PML-Q leader, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain told reporters in Islamabad alongside his brother Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The PML-Q leadership is backing Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s anti-government protest that is underway in Islamabad since late Friday, demanding PM’s resignation and installation of an interim national government.
