Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari called an emergency meeting of his party’s leadership to talk about the ongoing issues facing the country.
The emergency meeting is being held in the party’s headquarters at Bilawal House. Sources revealed that the meeting will tend to focus on the estimated damages that monsoon rains would cause and how the provincial government plans on dealing with the situation.
Senior representatives of the party as well as members of the Sindh government are expected to attend the meeting.
It is also likely that the deteriorating law and order situation of the city during the past week will also come under discussion. Last week prominent qawwal Amjad Sabri was gunned down in the city’s Liaquatabad area while the son of Sindh High Court’s Chief Justice, Owais Ali Shah was kidnapped from the city’s posh Clifton area.
Last night, the country’s senior military and civilian leadership had held an important meeting at the Corps Headquarters in Karachi to discuss the law and order situation of the city.
