TAIZ: Yemen’s Houthis claimed on Thursday that they shot down a Saudi drone over Taiz province. Military spokesperson Yahya Saree identified it as a Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı.
Saree said Houthi forces used air defence systems to bring down the armed reconnaissance aircraft. He described its activities over the province as “hostile missions”.

Dawn of Yemen” operation while the Saudi-led coalition struck dozens of Houthi military targets.
Meanwhile, Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces claimed advances across strategic mountain heights in western Taiz. They launched the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, with the contested positions overlooking the Red Sea coast.

Separately, the Saudi-led coalition said it struck 82 Houthi military targets across Yemen. Its account listed missile storage facilities and weapons depots among the targets.
Saudi authorities also attributed civilian casualties to Houthi attacks on Abha and King Khalid International Airports. They said three civilians died, while 36 people suffered injuries in attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Houthis claim they shot down a Saudi-operated Bayraktar Akıncı drone over Taiz province. Bayraktar Akıncı aircraft is the model identified in the Houthi-Saudi drone claim.
