Pakistan’s workers’ remittances rose 12.7% to $3.588 billion in September from approximately $3.2 billion in September 2025, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) figures released on Friday showed.
Inflows fell 1.9% compared with August. The central bank’s accompanying graphic places that month’s receipts at approximately $3.7 billion. Quarterly transfers increased despite the monthly decline.
Overseas workers sent $10.875 billion during July–September, the first quarter of FY2026-27 (July–June), compared with $9.535 billion in the corresponding period of FY26.
Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of September receipts, contributing $899.1 million. Transfers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) followed at $748.5 million.
Workers in the United Kingdom sent $515 million, while inflows from the United States totalled $305.9 million.

SBP’s graphic compares the latest monthly receipts with both the preceding month and the same month last year. Its cumulative figures cover the opening quarter of the financial year, rather than the calendar year.
