LAHORE: Alhamra paperless office work moved forward on Wednesday as Lahore Arts Council trained officers and administrative staff on Punjab’s Electronic Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS).
The council said the e-FOAS training aimed to promote digital governance, improve administrative efficiency and strengthen transparent public service delivery under the Government of Punjab’s digital agenda.
Executive Director Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said digital transformation had become essential for responsive and accountable public institutions. He said e-FOAS would support efficiency, transparency and innovation in official work.
Gondal said every digitally managed file reflected Alhamra’s commitment to good governance and responsible public service.
He said the institution would continue implementing the Punjab government’s digital initiatives through innovation and professional capacity building.
Programme Manager Zaid Bin Tariq conducted the technical session. He briefed participants on e-FOAS objectives, system architecture and practical use in routine administrative work.

The training covered electronic file creation, digital noting, workflow management, online approvals, correspondence handling, document security, digital archiving, file tracking, record management, user responsibilities and data protection protocols.
Participants also completed practical exercises on different stages of the digital workflow. The council said staff described e-FOAS as a step toward faster official processes, reduced paper use and stronger institutional accountability.
