The transfer of Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain has been agreed in principle for almost €50 million ($57 million), Spanish media reported, citing Barcelona sources.
The 26-year-old Spain forward is expected to sign a five-year contract with PSG. The remaining paperwork and medical were described by the cited sources as formalities.
Barcelona had rejected an initial €40 million offer on Monday, a club source told AFP. Torres had one year remaining on his contract with the Spanish champions.
Barcelona signed Torres from Manchester City in 2021 for more than €55 million. Since Hansi Flick took charge in 2024, he has often operated as a centre-forward behind Robert Lewandowski.
Torres scored 40 goals in 94 matches across all competitions over the past two seasons. He also scored Spain’s extra-time winner against Argentina in last month’s World Cup final, according to the source.

His expected departure comes after Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford left Barcelona. The club has already added England international Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
