Prince Rahim Aga Khan concluded a seven-day official visit to Pakistan on Tuesday after meetings with senior officials and members of the Ismaili community, according to a statement.
He arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, where President Asif Ali Zardari and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari received him at Nur Khan Airbase.
President Zardari hosted a state banquet attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, ministers, lawmakers and diplomats.
Prince Rahim Aga Khan also met Zardari and reaffirmed the Aga Khan Development Network’s commitment to development and humanitarian work in Pakistan. Shehbaz later hosted him at breakfast and presented a Pakistan Post commemorative stamp honouring Aga Khan IV.
He visited Gilgit-Baltistan on May 22 and met Ismaili community members in Passu, Gilgit, Gahkuch Bala and Taus. He also travelled to Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for meetings with provincial leaders and community gatherings in Parwak and Garamchashma.

The visit was his first official trip to Pakistan since becoming the 50th Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim community.
