Mexican actor Salma Hayek Pinault put Jimmy Fallon’s Spanish comprehension to the test on September 15. This happened during a Salma Hayek Fallon game built around deliberately misleading phrases.
During “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Hayek read Spanish lines while Fallon had to classify each as seductive, insulting or nonsense. He relied largely on her delivery rather than understanding the words.
Hayek repeatedly wrong-footed the host. For example, one line comparing someone to packaged lettuce turned out to be seductive. Meanwhile, a phrase involving a hot dog and flamingos was simply nonsense.

Hayek revealed it was intended as a pickup line. This completed the running joke that her tone offered little help in identifying the phrases.

Hayek also stars with Demián Bichir in Angelina Jolie’s “Without Blood.” It is scheduled to open in US theaters on September 18 after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2024.
