ISLAMABAD: Around 150 Pakistanis stranded in war-torn Yemen have now boarded a Pakistan Navy vessel on Saturday to return home.

Foreign Office Spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam said in a Twitter message that Pakistan Navy ship is docked at Ash Shihr port in south of Yemen at Al Mukallah.

“Around 150 Pakistanis have boarded the ship which will depart shortly,” she said.

The spokeswoman said that Chinese students and employees, mostly Europeans & Indians, of a company whose CEO facilitated Pakistanis, are also on PN ship for evacuation.

Up to 900 Pakistanis have returned home since the start of war between rival factions in Yemen nearly ten days ago.
