World Anti-Narcotics Day will be observed across the country including the provincial capital on Sunday to renew pledge for fighting against narcotics and to raise public awareness about negative effects of drugs.
Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Punjab has arranged many programmes in this regard. It would organize a walk to create public awareness about hazards of drugs use.
The walk will start from Bagh-e-Jinnah and conclude at Alhamra Arts Council. A large number of people belonging to different walks of life besides civil society would participate in it.
A seminar would also be arranged at Alhamra Hall-2 in this regard. Leaders of political parties and civil society personalities would address the seminar. (APP)
