Washington: US-Iran strikes hit Sirik, Bandar-e Lengeh and Qeshm Island for a second day as Bahrain and Kuwait sounded alerts over missile and drone threats.
U.S. Central Command said fighter jets struck 10 Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz. It said the targets included missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar facilities.
The strikes followed what U.S. officials described as an Iranian drone attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said U.S. attacks hit five coastal locations in Iran. Iranian state media reported strikes on Sirik, Qeshm Island and Bandar-e Lengeh.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s military said its air defences were responding to hostile missile and drone threats. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry also urged residents to stay calm and move to safe places after sirens sounded in Manama.
The IRGC said it targeted U.S. forces at Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait and the U.S. Fifth Fleet site at Port Salman in Bahrain. The claim could not be independently verified immediately.
Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates condemned the reported attack on Bahrain.

President Donald Trump said the U.S. strikes followed Iran’s alleged ceasefire violations. He warned that Washington could “complete the job” if the attacks continued.
Iranian analyst Abas Aslani told Al Jazeera that Tehran and Washington were disputing control and transit arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, Israel bombed southern Lebanon, killing at least one person. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun asked Trump to help prevent Israeli violations.
