Transport Canada has affirmed Pakistan’s aviation security as satisfactory following an audit at Jinnah International Airport conducted this Wednesday.
The Airport Security Force (ASF) reported that the Transport Canada delegation completed a comprehensive review of the airport’s security measures and deemed them effective.
During the audit, ASF’s team of National Inspectors provided detailed briefings on security deployment, entry control, screening processes, pass issuance, and emergency response protocols.
Transport Canada praised the ASF’s enhanced safety measures, particularly those ensuring the security of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) direct flights to Canada.
The audit team found the overall aviation security measures at Pakistan’s international airports satisfactory.
The Transport Canada delegation, consisting of Transportation Security Inspectors Barbara Dudrat and Abdul Tahir, arrived in Pakistan on July 15. Director PCA Shahid Qadir greeted them at the Civil Aviation headquarters.
Their primary objective was to evaluate the airport’s adherence to various security protocols, with a specific focus on procedures for direct flights from Pakistan to Canada, especially those operated by PIA.
