In South Waziristan, two Tiktokers were detained by Wana Police for deliberately pushing a blind man into floodwaters during the production of a TikTok video aimed at increasing their viewership on the platform.
The video was subsequently uploaded and incited significant public outrage across various social media platforms.
Responding to the widespread social media condemnation, the District Police Officer (DPO) of South Waziristan intervened and issued orders to arrest the offenders immediately. Law enforcement authorities have since arrested the individuals involved and initiated formal legal proceedings against them.
The visually impaired victim sustained minor injuries from the incident. He received immediate first aid and was subsequently released to return home.
