Lahore, Punjab: Students seeking the Punjab e-bike application must register through the official provincial portal, provide identification and enrolment records, and complete verification before computerised balloting.

The programme summary says Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced 100,000 electric bikes for students. Female recipients would receive bikes free, while male recipients would pay a down payment followed by interest-free monthly instalments.

Check eligibility before applying

Applicants should confirm that they meet all listed conditions:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid Punjab domicile.
  • Remain regularly enrolled in a degree college or university recognised by the Higher Education Commission.
  • Possess a motorcycle driving licence or learner’s permit.
  • Does not own another registered motor vehicle.
  • Apply for only one bike per family.
  • The maximum age is 35

Documents students should prepare

Applicants should have clear digital copies of:

  • Computerised National Identity Card or B-Form.
  • Student identity card.
  • Punjab domicile certificate.
  • Motorcycle driving licence or learner’s permit.
  • Passport-size photograph.
  • Bona fide or enrolment certificate, where required.
  • Family information or an affidavit, if requested during verification.

The name, identity number and other personal details should match across all documents to reduce the risk of rejection during scrutiny.

How to submit the online application

Step 1: Wait for the Punjab government to publish the verified application portal and registration schedule.

Step 2: Create an account or sign in using the applicant’s identity number, contact information and student details.

Step 3: Complete the online form with personal, educational, domicile and driving-licence information.

Step 4: Upload the required documents in the format and size specified on the portal.

Step 5: Review every entry before submission, particularly the identity number, institution name, mobile number and licence details.

Step 6: Submit the form and use the portal’s tracking facility to monitor the application.

Step 7: Wait for the government to verify enrolment, domicile, driving eligibility and vehicle-ownership information.

Step 8: Eligible applications will enter computerised balloting where applications exceed the available quota.

Applicants selected in the ballot will receive further instructions on bike allocation, payment arrangements for male students and any remaining documentation.

It also includes insurance and solar-charging support; however, the terms have not been specified. Punjab Govt has also established a helpline at 042-111-333-267; however, applicants should verify the number through an official Punjab government channel before sharing personal information.
