Tiger Woods is expected to miss the remaining majors this year, leaving the golf legend out of all four major championships for the second consecutive season.
Woods missed the Masters and PGA Championship earlier this year. Sports Illustrated reported that he does not hold an exemption for the U.S. Open and did not submit his British Open registration before the official deadline.
The expected absence deepens uncertainty over Woods’ return to elite competition. The 15-time major champion has played only eight major championships since his serious car accident in 2021.
During that stretch, Woods withdrew from two majors and missed the cut in four others. His most recent major appearances in 2024 ended with three straight missed cuts.
One of his toughest recent performances came at the 2024 Masters. Woods shot an 82, the worst major round of his career, and closed the final round at 10-over par.
