Thailand has taken a firm stance against Pakistanis travelling with counterfeit documents.
The Thai Consulate in Karachi recently introduced stringent guidelines for travellers, underscoring severe consequences for those using fraudulent documents. It now requires all e-visa applicants to present original and verifiable documents, including authentic airline tickets and hotel reservations.
The consulate has stated that applicants or travel agents caught submitting forged documents will be blacklisted, and strict actions will be enforced against them.

In a related incident in October of the previous year, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration team at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport apprehended two passengers attempting to travel abroad with fake documents.
During the operation, the FIA team arrested Nazar Abbas and Umme Salma, who were found with counterfeit visas in their passports. According to the FIA spokesperson, Umme Salma attempted to board flight IA-432 to Iraq with a fake Iraqi visa. At the same time, Nazar Abbas was scheduled to depart for the Turks and Caicos Islands on flight TK-709 with a fraudulent Cuban visa.
