Two people, including a peace committee member, were killed and three others were injured on Wednesday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in the Bara Bandi area of the Swat district.
One of the deceased persons, who belonged to the peace committee, was said to be a local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP).
The three people wounded in the attack included two members of the peace committee.
