Sri Lankan Govt. has withdrawn on-arrival visa facility for Pakistani visitors. Sri Lankan foreign ministry has formally informed Pakistan Govt. about the decision.
Pakistani visitors to Sri Lanka will have to obtain visa before departing with immediate effect
According to sources, on-arrival visa facility has been withdrawn on the request of Pakistani Govt. to discourage the rising trend of asylum seekers. Approximately 10 Pakistan families have applied for political asylum in Sri Lanka.
