LAHORE: Punjab Police on Tuesday advised motorists to check their traffic e-challans through the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Public Safety App, using its “Search Challan” option.
In a statement on X, police said vehicle owners can view challan details on their mobile phones without visiting an office. To use the feature:
- Open the PSCA Public Safety App.
- Select “Search Challan”.
- View the available e-challan information.
PSCA developed the app to bring traffic challan management, emergency response and other public safety services together on mobile devices. Its official description also lists access to emergency contacts and nearby police stations.
Meanwhile, motorists can use PSCA’s separate web-based e-challan portal. That service requests the vehicle’s registration number and either the owner’s Computerised National Identity Card number or the vehicle’s chassis number.
These are the website’s search requirements; motorists should follow the fields displayed within the app when using the mobile service.
Earlier this month, Lahore Traffic Police reported an enforcement case involving a motorcycle with 113 outstanding e-challans.
Patrolling officers Ghulam Arabi and Tanveer stopped the vehicle on Walton Road and checked its record. Police said the violations included 89 instances of riding without a helmet and 24 traffic signal violations.

The rider faced fines totalling Rs190,000. Police impounded the motorcycle and transferred it to Factory Area Police Station.
Police reported the case on October 6. Tuesday’s message directs citizens to the mobile lookup facility to check their own vehicles’ challan records.
