Sindh Government has decided to impose section 144 in the province to curb retaliatory strikes by terrorists in reaction to the “Zarb-e-Azb” military operation in North Waziristan.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah chaired a top level meeting in Chief Minister House on Monday in which Governor Sindh Ishratul Ebad Khan, Corps Commander Karachi, Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Rizwan Akhtar and Inspector General Sindh were present.
Home Minister Sharjeel Memon, in a briefing after the meeting, said that security has been placed on red alert and a ban has been enforced on all kinds of processions and demonstrations in the province. He also said that all documents should be submitted in police stations if any house is being given on rent.
The provincial government ensured full cooperation to the law enforcing agencies during the military offensive in North Waziristan.
