Samsung plans to broaden its foldable range this year with the anticipated release of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which will replace the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Rumours suggest the introduction of a more budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip FE and the book-style Galaxy Z Fold 7. Recent leaks have begun to sketch a picture of what to expect from these devices, particularly focusing on the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s camera capabilities.
According to reports from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will maintain a camera setup similar to its predecessor. It will feature a primary 50-megapixel rear sensor complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera. However, the new model does not appear to include a telephoto lens. Reports suggest that the anticipated foldable phone carries the codename B7, and its more affordable counterpart, the Galaxy Z Flip FE, bears the codename B7R.”
Leaks have also hinted that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will boast a larger 6.85-inch main display, up from the 6.7-inch screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and a 4-inch outer screen. Under the hood, the device will feature the new Exynos 2500 series chipset.
Despite these enhancements, Samsung plans to produce only 3 million Galaxy Z Flip 7 units in 2025, a decrease from its predecessor’s numbers. This decision reflects a strategic adjustment in response to the lukewarm market reception of earlier foldable models.
Samsung is reportedly developing a cutting-edge trifold smartphone with a ‘G-type’ display, in addition to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Flip FE. This device could redefine the versatility and utility of foldable technology.
As the launch approaches, the tech community and potential consumers alike are eager to see how these new devices will influence the evolving landscape of foldable smartphones and set new standards for design and functionality in the sector.
