Saadullah Khan, 28, a leading figure in Pakistan’s football scene, has reached a significant milestone in his career. He has become the first Pakistani footballer to complete the FA Level Two (UEFA) coaching course, an achievement announced on Sunday.
The accomplishment positions him as a promising figure on the field and potentially on the sidelines as a future coach.
Saadullah Khan is known for his role as an attacking midfielder, where he plays for the Sui Southern Gas Company Football Club and the Pakistan national team. His style of play is characterized by speed and technical skills, making him a valuable asset to his teams. In addition, his proficiency in dribbling and ability to create goal-scoring opportunities have further solidified his reputation as one of Pakistan’s best young footballers.
Khan’s journey into football began in his hometown of Pishin, Balochistan. As a teenager, he developed a passion for the game, leading him to pursue it more seriously. His formal training started in 2008 at the Youth Academy Pishin, a stepping stone that paved the way for his future career. A year later, at 14, he started playing for Pak Elektron, indicating his talent and potential.
Numerous triumphs have marked Khan’s football career. Between 2012 and 2014, he won the Pakistan Premier League (PPL) three times. Furthermore, while playing for Khan Research Laboratories, he was part of the team that secured the Challenge Cup in 2011 and 2012.
In 2014, at 19, Khan debuted for the Pakistan national team in a game against Lebanon. Although his team suffered a 3-1 defeat, it marked the beginning of his international career. His first international goal came the following year during a match against Afghanistan, a significant achievement for any footballer.
Since his debut, Khan has represented Pakistan in 42 international matches. This notable achievement and his recent completion of the FA Level Two (UEFA) coaching course promise an exciting future for Saadullah Khan in Pakistani football.
