Singer and reality television personality Ray J checked himself into a Las Vegas hospital this weekend, hours after being knocked out by internet personality Supa Hot Fire at a public event, TMZ reported.
Sources close to Ray J told TMZ he sought medical attention about two hours after the Saturday appearance. He has spent several days under observation while doctors run tests.
Medical staff are examining whether he suffered a concussion and are monitoring a slower-than-normal heartbeat, according to the TMZ report.

The hospitalisation follows a year in which Ray J has publicly discussed serious health problems. These include pneumonia, heart complications and substance abuse.
Earlier this year, the “Sexy Can I” singer said he was hospitalised in Las Vegas with heart pain and severe pneumonia. During that stay, doctors performed X-rays and an echocardiogram. In a subsequent Instagram Live, he told viewers his health was “not okay.”
Ray J later told TMZ he had become bedridden and was taking eight medications. Additionally, doctors had discussed the possibility of a pacemaker or defibrillator due to his heart condition.
He has also linked his health problems to past alcohol and substance use. During the livestream, he said he had once considered himself “indestructible” before doctors instructed him to stop drinking and smoking and focus on recovery.

It is not Ray J’s first pneumonia scare. In 2021, he was hospitalised in Miami with non-contagious pneumonia. His longtime manager, David Weintraub, said at the time that the singer had overworked himself. Ray J tested negative for COVID-19.
