Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt-Gen. Asim Bajwa will hold a joint press conference at 5:00 p.m today evening.

The press conference is being held two days after deadly blasts in Lahore, in which over 72 people including women and children were martyred and more than 300 injured.

On the orders of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, the Pakistan Army on Monday, acting proactively, launched a crackdown on terrorists, banned outfits and their facilitators in the Punjab and arrested a number of suspected terrorists and their facilitators in various parts of the province.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also directed the police and other law enforcement agencies to launch an operation against the terrorists and their abettors in the border areas of the Punjab.
