Former Fox Business associate producer and podcast host Jennifer Eckhart died at 36 at her home in Hobe Sound, Florida, on September 19, authorities confirmed Monday.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Eckhart’s death was ruled a suicide. Authorities have not publicly released further medical details, and this report omits details concerning the manner in which she was found.
Eckhart worked for Fox for about seven years, including as an associate producer at Fox Business. She gained national attention in 2020 after filing a federal lawsuit accusing former Fox News anchor Ed Henry of rape and sexual misconduct. Henry denied the allegations and maintained that their relationship was consensual.
Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 after receiving Eckhart’s complaint and conducting an outside investigation. In March 2025, a federal judge granted Fox News summary judgment while allowing several claims against Henry to proceed toward trial.
Eckhart and Henry settled the remaining lawsuit in 2025 before trial. The terms were not publicly disclosed.

After the litigation, Eckhart founded The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit that supports trauma survivors through animal-assisted healing, and hosted the podcast “REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart.”
