A bomb blast near the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Quetta killed at least 10 people, including soldiers. It also injured 32, as confirmed by Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar. The explosion occurred when a vehicle turned from Model Town towards Hali Road, as per Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Baloch.

Kakar reported that eight bodies and 32 injured were taken to the Civil Hospital and the Trauma Centre. Six were in critical condition. An emergency was declared at Quetta’s hospitals, with all medical staff on duty. Security forces killed four terrorists in a swift response. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti condemned the “terrorist attack” and vowed to ensure peace.

President Asif Ali Zardari called it a “suicide attack” by Fitna-al-Khawarij (TTP), alleging that India had an agenda. “The elements serving Fitna-al-Khawarij and India cannot undermine Pakistan’s stability,” he said, praising the security forces. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the forces for eliminating “Fitna-al-Hindustan” terrorists, promising “exemplary punishment” for those threatening security.

The attack reflects a worsening security situation in Balochistan, with a 40% rise in terror incidents in 2025. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has intensified attacks, targeting security forces. The blast, near a key military site, underscores the region’s vulnerability.

The Quetta blast, killing 10 and injuring 32, heightens concerns, with 60% of Pakistanis demanding stronger counter-terrorism measures. The attack, linked to TTP and alleged Indian involvement, strains regional stability and challenges Pakistan’s security framework.
