The Punjab climate internship program has opened applications for Batch II, offering selected participants a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000, the provincial government said.
The three-month Chief Minister Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program is being run by the Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department.
The program aims to train young graduates as “climate warriors” for district-level environmental work. The department said 50% of seats have been reserved for female applicants.
Selected interns will receive field training at the district level. They will also access a learning management system and visit Environmental Protection Agency field offices.
The internship includes capstone projects, mentoring from environmental experts and certification linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Applicants must be between 20 and 27 years of age by the application deadline. Candidates need at least a bachelor’s degree with 75% marks or a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.

Eligible fields include Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, GIS, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Media Studies, Journalism and Law.
Applicants can apply through the official EPA Punjab portal. They must upload academic transcripts, a national identity card and a domicile certificate.
