Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided that its lawmakers will not attend Friday’s National Assembly session despite the withdrawal of de-seating motions against them.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has summoned a parliamentary party meeting at his Bani Gala residence. The meeting is expected to discuss the PTI attending National Assembly sessions and the party’s future course of action.
On Thursday, the MQM and JUI-F withdrew their motions seeking to de-seat PTI MNAs. The development came after NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq held a meeting over the issue with parliamentary leaders of political parties in an effort to convince members of the MQM and JUI-F into withdrawing their motions.
