Bahawalpur police claimed to have arrested terrorists during a search operation in Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh towns of Punjab.
According to the police, their team launched a search operation in Alipur tehsil of Muzaffargarh to arrest two outlaws involved in the killing of two police officials, who were discharging duties during Taraweeh timings outside a mosque in Uch Sharif.
During the operation, the police managed to arrest an alleged outlaw. Finding a clue from him, the police raided a house in Mushtaq Colony and recovered eight hand grenades, 10 suicide jackets, one rifle, two bags of explosive material and a motorcycle.
An official of the bomb disposal squad Mehmood Aalam sustained injuries while n he was defusing the hand grenades. The injured official was shifted to THQ Hospital Alipur.
