Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif earlier today asked members of two different committees to contact different political parties to ensure transparency in the Senate elections and discourage the curse of horse trading.
In a meeting here at the PM House, the Prime Minister asked the members of these committees to enhance contacts with political parties so that procedures necessary for stopping horse trading can be agreed upon before the upcoming Senate elections, including a Constitutional amendment, if required.
The Prime Minister himself will also contact heads of the political parties in this regard, a statement from the PM House said.
