Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Azam Saigol has resigned.
Azam Sehgal resignation as chairman of PIA has been confirmed by the PIA spokesman.
Azam Sehgal has reportedly resigned from the post of the PIA chairman on personal ground but sources say he was under pressure to step down due to a PIA plane crash last week.
The move comes less than a week after PIA flight PK-661 crashed in Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on way to Islamabad from Chitral, leaving all 47 passengers and crew members dead.
Although Mr Saigol has cited personal reasons for the move, sources say he was under pressure to step down in the wake of Wednesday’s deadly plane cras
