Actress Megan Fox stars in a Ro Sparks campaign for a prescription erectile dysfunction treatment. She hopes its humour makes conversations about intimacy less embarrassing.
Fox discussed the campaign in an interview with PEOPLE published Thursday. She wants men and their partners to talk openly about the condition.
“I personally feel like maybe I was born for this,” she said.
In Ro’s advert, Fox personifies the medication and speaks directly to viewers. Its script uses innuendo to describe prescription delivery and discreet packaging.
Ro says Sparks combines sildenafil, Viagra’s active ingredient, with tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis. It dissolves under the tongue. The company describes Sparks as a compounded medicine not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Fox initially expected to ask the creative team for more humour and a more playful approach. Instead, she and her team asked the creators to tone down some jokes and innuendo.
