Peshawar police on earlier today arrested one suspect by foiling an attempt to smuggle arms to Punjab.
According to Station Head Officer Budhbir (SHO) Asif Sharif, Peshawar police recovered a truckload of weapons which was being smuggled to Punjab from the restricted area of Dara Adam Khel whereas officers have also detained one suspect identified as Abdul Ameen.
He further revealed that an estimated 50 Kalashnikovs, 40 rifles, 50 pistols and 20 thousand cartridges were present in the truck.
