The Pakistan Cricket Board will keep PCB central contracts categories confidential after replacing its A, B, C and D system with a five-track format-specific model.
The board said the new structure includes Track AB for players suited to Tests and One-Day Internationals, Track A for red-ball specialists and Track BC for ODI and T20 International players.
Track C will cover T20 specialists and franchise-focused players. Track D will serve as a development pathway linked to the National Cricket Academy system.
The PCB said it would not disclose how many contracts fall under each track. The number and distribution of contracts were selection matters and would be reviewed each cycle.

Sources said centrally contracted players must play domestic cricket when they have no international assignments. The requirement will vary by track and cover First-class, List-A and T20 matches.
The players have been informed about expected domestic match requirements, sources said. The number could include around five First-class and 10 List-A matches.
The PCB will still keep centrally contracted players eligible for all three formats. A player from any track may be added to a team if required.
