ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Friday raised the price of petrol by Rs5.44 to Rs316.15 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs31.05 to Rs354.35, effective July 18, 2026.
The Petroleum Division’s notification said petrol had previously cost Rs310.71 per litre, while high-speed diesel stood at Rs323.30. The revised rates will remain applicable until July 20.
Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) would announce petroleum prices daily using Platts’ seven-day moving average. Malik described the change as another step towards deregulation.

The daily review system follows the federal government’s earlier move to weekly petroleum price adjustments amid volatility in international energy markets, according to the government’s account.
During the previous weekly review, the federal government increased petrol by Rs13.18 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs13.80. Those changes had taken the former rates to Rs310.71 and Rs323.30 per litre, respectively.
