The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat has revised its passport collection timings for Pakistanis living in Oman, with the new schedule taking effect from May 1, 2026, according to an embassy notice shared on social media.
The change aims to improve passport collection services for the Pakistani community in Oman and manage visitor flow more efficiently at the mission.
Under the revised schedule, the embassy’s passport delivery counter will operate during the following hours from May 1:
Sunday to Thursday
- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Friday
- 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
The embassy has advised applicants to visit only during these collection windows to avoid delays and ensure a smoother process.
Applicants collecting a processed passport must bring the required supporting documents. According to the embassy notice, citizens must bring their token and their old passport to receive the new travel document. The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lists the old passport among the standard documents required for renewal and passport-related processing in Muscat.
Pakistan passport fee in Oman
Pakistan’s overseas passport fee schedule shows that a 36-page passport with five-year validity costs 12 OMR for normal processing and 19 OMR for urgent processing, matching the fee structure outlined in the source content. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also publishes revised overseas passport fees and separate surcharge levels for lost passports.
For applicants seeking 10-year validity, the fee starts at 17 OMR for a 36-page passport, according to the same official schedule.
The embassy has also highlighted the heavy penalties for lost travel documents. Under Pakistan’s overseas passport fee structure, a first lost passport generally costs double the standard fee, while a second loss can raise the charge to four times the standard amount, depending on the passport category and urgency level. The Ministry’s published fee schedule reflects these higher replacement charges.
For Pakistani nationals in Oman, the revised passport collection timings mean they will need to plan embassy visits more carefully from May 1 onward. The update only affects the collection of processed passports, but it forms part of the embassy’s wider effort to streamline consular traffic and improve service delivery in Muscat. The embassy’s official Muscat consular pages continue to list passport processing requirements and contact details for applicants who need further guidance.
