Changzhou, China: Pakistan-China industrial cooperation advanced as Pakistani ministers visited StarCharge Group and Changfa Group to seek investment in electric vehicle infrastructure, smart energy and agricultural machinery.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan and Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain led the visit, according to Pakistan’s Press Information Department.
At StarCharge Group, officials reviewed electric vehicle charging systems, energy storage, cloud-based energy trading platforms and smart energy management solutions. The Chinese company operates in more than 60 countries.
Talks also covered StarCharge’s Pakistan plans, including EV infrastructure proposals, localisation initiatives and long-term operational support through a local office, officials said.
The delegation later visited Changfa Group, a Changzhou-based manufacturer of tractors, diesel engines and agricultural machinery. Pakistan’s official Radio Pakistan report said the talks focused on modern farming technology and agricultural mechanisation.
Kingsbridge Ventures and Changfa signed a memorandum of understanding to explore cooperation in Pakistan. The agreement covers phased localisation, technical collaboration and possible manufacturing projects linked to industrial modernisation goals.
The delegation also met Changzhou Mayor Zhou Wei and senior municipal officials. Both sides discussed industrial development, investment facilitation, export-oriented policy and cooperation to support Pakistan’s manufacturing capacity
