The Pakistan Cricket Board named Sahibzada Farhan captain of the 15-member Pakistan Asian Games squad for the 2026 cricket event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
PCB said Abdul Samad will serve as vice-captain. The men’s cricket event will begin on September 24, with the medal matches on October 3.
Farhan, 30, has played 46 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. PCB said he has scored 1,305 runs, including two centuries and 10 half-centuries.
The squad includes opener Saim Ayub, wicketkeeper Usman Khan, mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed and fast bowler Mohammad Salman Mirza. Haider Ali and Ahmed Daniyal also returned to the side.
PCB said Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood have yet to make their T20I debuts for Pakistan. The ICC also noted the inclusion of four uncapped T20I players in the squad.

Fourteen of the 15 selected players are part of the NCA White-Ball Camp, which will start in Lahore on Monday, June 15, according to PCB.
The Asian Games 2026 cricket competition will run during the Aichi-Nagoya Games from September 19 to October 4, with 10 teams competing for gold.
