Rawalpindi, Pakistan: The Pakistan Army team secured first position at the International Pace Sticking Competition 2026 held at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, the Inter-Services Public Relations said Friday.
The military’s media wing said the Pakistan Military Academy represented the army at the annual drill competition. It said the team won the 1st Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker and Best Driver awards.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the nine-member contingent was led by Major Haider Gulzar. The team arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5.
The statement said 16 international teams from different armies took part in the competition. It described the win as a reflection of Pakistan Army’s training standards, professional excellence and dedication.

Pakistan had also won the International Pace Sticking Competition in 2020 for a third consecutive year. The army first participated in the event in 2018.
The Pakistan Army team also won gold at Exercise Cambrian Patrol-2025 in Wales from October 3 to 13. Pakistan previously won gold at the exercise in 2024, 2017, 2016 and 2015.
