KARACHI, Sindh: First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari joked about the Bilawal wedding rumours after Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari publicly denied claims that he was engaged or getting married.
The rumours circulated on social media over the weekend, with unverified posts claiming that Bilawal was preparing to marry an Austrian princess, Princess Gloria.
Bilawal rejected the claims in a video statement shared on X, saying social media had already “got me engaged, married” and adding that no such development had taken place.
He also said he did not know any Princess Gloria, directly rejecting one of the central claims circulating online.

Aseefa responded to her brother’s clarification with a joking post on X, writing: “My brother’s getting married and I’m just sitting here in Karachi. Wow.”
The social-media speculation had also claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari travelled to Austria with family members to discuss wedding arrangements and set a possible date.
Some posts further alleged that the wedding could take place toward the end of the year. The supplied material provides no evidence supporting those claims.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab had also rejected reports of Bilawal’s alleged engagement or wedding a day earlier. Neither Bilawal nor the Pakistan Peoples Party has announced any engagement or marriage involving the PPP chairman.
