Mayor Murtaza Wahab of Karachi officially opened Nestlé Pakistan’s first clean and safe drinking water facility in Bin Qasim Town district. It is set to serve over 10,000 individuals daily.
During the event, Mayor Wahab expressed gratitude for Nestlé’s support in providing essential services to the community, stating, “Access to clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental necessity. I deeply appreciate Nestlé’s commitment to supporting the people of Karachi. This remarkable initiative will undoubtedly benefit the community.”

Nestlé Pakistan has now established nine such facilities nationwide: Sheikhupura, Kabirwala, Khanewal, Islamabad, and Karachi.
This new facility in Karachi utilizes advanced ultrafiltration technology to deliver up to 3,000 litres of clean water per hour. It features a multi-stage filtration system, quality monitoring systems, and a UV disinfection unit to ensure water safety. Designed with energy-efficient pumps, the plant emphasizes sustainability and minimal environmental impact.
Nestlé’s Caring for Water-Pakistan program focuses on water stewardship in factories, communities, and agriculture. All its Clean and Safe Drinking Water Facilities strive to positively impact local communities, supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals 6, 13, and 17.
