JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu marked two years since the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah with a video posted on X on Sunday.
Netanyahu wrote, “Two years ago today, we took out Nasrallah.” He followed the statement with a holiday greeting to the people of Israel.
The short video showed images of Nasrallah, former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei surrounded by animated flames.
An Israeli airstrike killed Nasrallah on September 27, 2024; the attack targeted Hezbollah’s headquarters in the Dahiyeh area of southern Beirut, and Hezbollah confirmed his death the following day.
