Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif will chair a special meeting of the federal cabinet today to bring under discussion the performance of ministries of planning, development and reforms and railway.
Besides, a committee led by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will table recommendations in order to provide relief to the power consumers.
In the previous meeting, Water and Power Secretary suggested to provide relief worth Rs.22 billion to the consumers hailing from the middle class. Taking the proposal into consideration, the PM formed a committee under Ishaq Dar with the ministers of interior, water and power and trade as its members to thrash out the pros and cons of the suggestion.
The law and order in the country and the premier’s China visit are also expected to come under discussion in the course of the meeting.
