Netflix will premiere the three-part Michael Jackson docuseries “Michael Jackson: The Verdict” on June 3, focusing on the singer’s 2005 criminal trial.
The series examines the 2003 child molestation charges, the courtroom proceedings and the media coverage around the case. Jackson was found not guilty on all counts.
The documentary includes interviews with people connected to the trial, including jurors, witnesses, accusers and defenders. The filmmakers also spoke with media figures who covered the proceedings.
Created by showrunner David Herman and produced by Candle True Stories, the series aims to reconstruct the trial through people who were directly involved in or present for the case.
Nick Green directed the documentary. Fiona Stourton, Herman and James Goldston served as executive producers.

The filmmakers told Netflix’s Tudum that they wanted to revisit the trial 20 years later as a historical account, noting that cameras were not allowed inside the courtroom.
Jackson died in 2009, but public interest in his career, legacy and legal battles has continued through documentaries, archive projects and biographical films.
